Still Alive & Kickin'

Yes, we are still around! Its been a few month since the last post.

After our few months of public school I am now rethinking Gavin being there and he will be coming back home again.

I have been making some changes around the house the past few months like our diet.We are eating organic, and whole foods, taking great vitamins, exercising and I am on a vegan kick. I just love the vegies & fruits.

I am still in college I plan to commence on June 20th and I will still take a few classes in the summer and possibly 1 or 2 in the fall and I will be officially completed.

I have been doing alot of reading lately on top of the the text books that I am studying with. I have about 9 books on by bedstand all I am reading and stopping in different places. Then picking up another one. I just completed a book that friend let me borrow and I read it in about 5 days. It was a good read.

We have been going to the library a few times a week. Its fun, we look forward it.

I canceled cable here at the house a few months back and its been so great to  have less an expense as well as see the boys doing other things. They do still watch TV since they borrow movies from the library but the TV time isnt at such lengths as it use to be with the cable programing.

Happy Thanksgiving & An Update!

We are good! Things are moving along slowly but surelyin our lives, I am glad thatthings rae consistently moving along.Progressis always agood thing. I have 3 quarters left of college till my graduation in August 2008. YEAH! The boys are growing up so quickly. Gavin is in 5th grade and Elijah is in Kindergarten. This is our first year of public school as we had homeschooled the past 5 years. It is okay. I have to admit that there are things that I would improve or change about the public school system. But it also has some benefits.

I also have become a Pre-Paid Legal Associate (since September). I am also a member and I believe that the services are worthwhile, life changing and excellent. (http://www.prepaidlegal.com  refered by: Amber Marshall in WA.) If you do have any questions please contact me at: amgaveli@yahoo.com.

Have a Happ Thanksgiving , keep warm and be safe.

 God Bless~Amber :)

Summer's coming to an end......School starting again!

It has been along while since my last post.

"Busy as Bees" is an understatement.

School will be starting up agian for Gavin and Elijah on September 5th 2007.

Elijah will be in Kindergarten and Gavin in 5th grade. I plan to homeschool Gavin agian. Elijah will be at public school but I also feel that he shoudl eb home shooling. It is complicated with Elijah's dad. Basically his dad doesn't support homeschooling. He isn't a Christian man and doesn't see the benefits of it and just doesn't support my point of view, understand my reasons or calling and isn't concerned about the things that I am. Like: Eternity, the Bible, being obedient to ones calling and convictions, raising children in and of the Lord,  etc.

Gavin will start public school for a few short weeks( maybe), while I get all his curriculum worked out and also allow him a few weeks of that experience as he has wanted to attend public school for awhile-- he is curious.I am hesitant to even do this but am willing to let him explore some. I just pray that he will have a better appreciation and understanding of why homeschooling is best and appreciate the Lords will for his life-- to be homeschooled.

I am still in college 3/4 time, I am actually taking 2 courses this Fall and have 3-4 quarters left till I have obtained my two degrees.

I at this time have no idea of what the Lord has planned for me after college graduation.

Here are a few pictures of the boys this spring/summer:

Where have we been....?

Im sure many of you are asking what happened to us. I havent posted in a months... Sorry!

We are good, typical struggles with the enemy and I am a bit burnt-out on college classes and homeschooling. I am starting to feel better though and have recently joined a great Woman's Bible Study group called: Bridge. It has given me some much needed renewed strength to be with other woman in prayer & worship.

Here are few of our recent pics:
